| I am looking at a Lund Explorer 1675 , a Smokercraft 162 , a sylvan 1600 dc, crestliner 1700 and a ALumacraft 165 dominator. Are there any boats you would not buy. They all seem to have their benefits. Any good / bad experiences with these boats? |

| Check out the Tuffy 1700. Very nice fiberglass boat with great storage, center rod locker, and up to 135 HP in the console model. This boat be awesome with a 115 Opti.
Denny at Fort Fremont has one if you are inclined to take a peek.
But if you have to go with aluminum, my order would be Lund, Alumacraft, C'Liner, and then take your pick of the other two.

| IT LOOKS LIKE YOU PRETTY MUCH GOT YOUR CHOICES NARROWED DOWN, BUT YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER G3 BOATS. GREAT BOAT FOR THE PRICE. ALOT CHEAPER THAN THE LUND OR CRESTLINER AND ALUMACRAFT YET GREAT QUALITY AND OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY ARE OWNED BY YAMAHA. I BOUGHT ONE IN JULY OF '08 AND REALLY LIKE IT. JUST MY ONE CENT WORTH. |

| I have a Lund Explorer 1675 SS with a 75 E-tec on it. Absolutly amazing boat. It is extrememly stable and comfy. I got it the end of last season and connot wait for the ice to melt.
I have had six guys fishing out of it at the cottage. At one point were were all on the one side and the boat never even tilted. I was shocked.
Handles the St. Lawrence river well. I can get into very shallow water with ease.

Take a look at the G3 162 new for 2009.I have owned Lund crestliner and Sylvan. Last year i bought a G3 172F.Very satisfied with the G3. You will find pros and cons with every aluminum boat. The G3 angler series are very well constructed. Check out the aluminum thickness and the weight of the boat itself.I have owned a boat for the past 40 years.I am just walleye guy that spends alot of time on the water. Spoondog
