Well it looks like we are ready for the 4th annual Wolf River Country ICE BREAKER, March 13 - 15th 2009. It's going to be held again at Critters Sports in Winneconne, Wisconsin with boats from 7 boat dealers, plenty of tackle and equipment on display and what might again be the best line up of speakers. Show hours are Friday 4PM - 9PM, Saturday 10AM to 7PM and Sunday 10AM to 3PM.

Catch the Fish Fry and speakers Joel "Doc" Kunz at 4:30PM and Keith Kavajecz at 6:30 - 8:30PM on Friday. Doc will talk Wolf River fishing and show Kendall Kamke's "State of the Lake" presentation, which discusses year class strengths, shocking and trawling results on the Winnebago system. Keith will obviously bring a wealth of information along with his great wit and personality to the stage with him.

Saturday line up starts with Daryl Christensen at 10:30AM followed by Tommy Kemos at noon, John Kolinski at 1:30PM, Pat Neu at 3:00PM, "Axl" Ehricke at 4:30PM and a closing panel discussion at 6PM.

Sunday starts with a special "Breakfast With Gofron", to be held in Woodeye's Grill at 8:30, prior to the opening of the main show. This specially planned event gives the "early birds" a chance to catch one of the nations top anglers in an informal atmosphere. The show opens at 10AM with the main panel discussion "Wolf River Ice Out To Ice Up", to start at 10:30AM. The panel discussions of ICE BRAKER 1 were the big hit that kept the flame alive for future shows. Local guides, resort owners and tournament pro's will join host Joel "Doc" Kunz to discuss fishing the Wolf River and Winnebago system in detail in an open question and answer format. The varying answers to each question give a great perspective in how to catch walleye here in Wolf River Country. The panel will also discuss and review Kendall Kampe's State of the Lake during this time for those who were not available Friday night. Planned panel members include Daryl Christensen, Tony Puccio, Denny Fox plus other local anglers and guides. ICE BREAKER 4's final seminar will be at 1:30PM on Sunday and will again feature Daryl Christensen.

There will also be an Off Shore boards repair booth plus plenty of area information available form the DNR, UW Extension and Lake Poygan Sportsmen's Club.

ADMISSION & PARKING IS FREE!

Braekfast with Gofron is a catchy slogan. Does not mean we are serving breakfast this year, but maybe in the future. Basically it means for early risers. Very different than what has been done in the past.

Saturday will keep everyone there on the edge of there seats all day. The bar will be closed circuit so you will be able to sit at the bar and watch the seminars and hear.

I figured that Wodie's Grill would be serving Breakfast. Not looking for a free breakfast, but as I said, I like breakfast. Looks like you do too, Stacker! I bet Komo does, too.

Mack's Lure will have a table there this year also. I am looking forward to it. Stop by and say hi! Mack's will be offering 10% off all orders made during the show. Time to stock up on some Smile Blades!

Fried Chicken for breakfast?!?!!??

My boys have been asking about it, we'll be there Saturday. I may have to make it over on Sunday as well but that is usually my day to fish alone so we'll have to see how the bite is going before I give up a morning on the lake

I'll be there all weekend helping Bob at Mr. Marine and Rich S. with the Drop-N-Stays. Stop and say hi. It's always nice to put a face to the name. I have a bad case of cabin fever and am looking forward to being around fishing stuff all weekend.

I highly recommend getting up early and seeing Mike Gofron. I went to one of his seminars at Bass Pro a couple years back. It was the most informative seminar I have been to. Super nice guy and took as much time as needed to make sure everyone got their questions answered. It's a great chance to pick the brain of one of the best.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Wow, that sounds like fun. I think the illinois river tournament last week that was cancelled got scheduled for the 15th.

Besides having a booth for my Guide business WalleyeX Guide Service I will be displaying the new Off Shore Planer Board and Product. I will also be fixing Off Shore Planer boards. So if you need something fixed stop by.

Have you been looking for Pre-Rapala Storm baits. The old ones. Stop by as I will be selling them along with some of my equipment from the past year.

1 quick schedule change. Kolinski will be on at 430 pm and AXL will be on at 130. From what I understand John should have a new tan to show off when he gets on stage, thats why he is going later.

Unreal with the quality of speakers you have that this show is free. This is a great service Doc and you do for the sport of fishing. I have a feeling you will set new records for participation this year. Great Job!!

Will you be bringing it along with The Little Snuggler?

Kirt, best you didn't come. We'll be talking about planer board spreads, and pulling flies with two rods. You'll just leave confused and dazed after a full weekend of that.
