Illinois Walleye Trail

It looks like our March Tournaments could be a good time if the river will work with us. Last fall the October tournament was almost 18 pounds to win and the November Tournament almost 20 pounds. I believe that we will see a lot of 3 pound fish some 4 pound and maybe a 5 pounder this spring.

The river is coming down nicely and I think we will be fishing again next week. I am a little concerned about anymore rain, with the creek full now we can’t take much. Based on this we have elected to change our April 25/26 date Tournament a week later to May 2/3 2009. With all the tournaments in March if we have to re-schedule we will go on April 19, this will give us a little room to work with. This will also allow the teams who wants to fish the FLW League in Dubuque the opportunity to do so.

I hope this will not mess anyone’s schedule up but think it will be the best for all.

Thanks Bob

Thanks Bob, I will be probably be down for the FLW league event if I can find a co-anlger to sign up with. I will be pre-fishing with my son Alec and he is ten years old. I believe you have a tournament that Sunday. Would I be able to fish it with him or is he too young? Thanks for the update!

Rich, Not trying to speak for Bob, but I have heard this question come up before and as long as you sign the paper work as his guardian, your good to go. Just check with Bob. www.prairielandeyes.com for a form and Bob's contact info. He is usually at the tournament launch site ( Spring Valley ) the afternoon before the tournament.
