| I'm going to be heading to Chippewa Falls for a class March 17 and 18, and since the class will be done at 3:30 I was thinking about fishing for the remainder of the afternoon. Possibly into the night. This is assuming that walleyes are open to fish for on the river at this time. I am not partial to bass fishing either. I have never fished here before. Therefore, I know nothing about the area as far as walleye fishing goes. With this said I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of where a decent place to fish from shore would be. The class is at the technical school to give a reference point of where I'll be. I am willing to make a short drive if need be. Also, is there still ice on the river up there? If so, do you think the ice will be off in two weeks? I'm not looking to take any fish home. I'm really just trying to kill some time while I'm there, and what better way to do it than going fishing.
Thanks

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin | Try finding a baitshop from the area and give them a call. |
