Location: Berlin | I am very curious to see how these next few tournamants there respond to this.
Full Throttle is on the 5th of April and we said if it is over 23' it is automatically cancelled/re-scheduled. Hopefully all is settled down by then.
This is just crazy. |

Location: Rhinelander | If conditions remain very wet to the North, probably not. The Illinois can come down as fast as it rises, so it's a crap shoot this time of year. |

Location: Orland Park, IL | You got that right. Same sentiment last year. The big rumor last year was the FLW was gonna move the league event to Lake Shelbyville. HA! River came down just fine. Like you said steve, as fast as it comes up, it comes down. Also, I heard a couple of wickets were blown out in Peorio. Now this is from last year, and I didnt think they fixed them over the winter. So, water should be smoking down there. |

Location: Spring Valley,Il. | I wish you guys were right. It would be nice to fish a tourney here that wasnt flooded. But now they are predicting the river to crest thursday the 12th at 33.1 feet. The level of the river was 23.63 feet at the 2007 MWC tournament.Thats almost ten feet higher and we all remember what a nightmare that was. They are also predicting 1-2 inches of rain between tonight and tomorrow to only make things worse.
Here is how the river fell the last time it was that high.

Illinois River closed in Grundy County
March 10, 2009 at 08:14 AM
SPRINGFIELD – Due to rising water levels, swift currents and floating debris, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is restricting boating access on the Illinois River in Grundy County. The 19 mile section of the Illinois River between boating mile marker 254.1 at the Rock Island Bridge to mile marker 273 at the confluence of the Des Plaines and Kankakee River is closed to all recreational watercraft.
Likewise, all recreational boating on the Mazon River up to the confluence of the Illinois River is restricted. IDNR has authorization to designate restricted boating areas when navigation is deemed significantly hazardous. |

| Illinois River is Peru is a mess. Projected to be (33.1') - 6" short of the all time record in Sept. 08. Won't be long until they close the the bridges over Illinois 2-51, 3-51, & 89 in Spring Valley., just like in Sept. Even if it stops raining right now, the chances of the river being half-way decent for the FLW will be slim.

| River was inching close to 89 this morning at around 6 am, by close I say 2 feet higher or so and the water would be at the shoulders. I expect the road will be closed by thursday, unless they flush it....but thats doubtful, Ottawa has no storage and the Fox was ripping today.
CT, I don't think there is anything wrong with talking about SV flooding, trashing the tournaments or the amount of them is what usually gets people fired up because at times it can be a blast.....and others, a suck fest.

| nice pics! i remember back in 1989,i arrived at spring valley week before tourney and was driving down to the landing and got as far as the boat dealership can't remember the name, but the water was over the bridge,i believe that year there was 3 0r was it 7 fish caught. i think things could change very fast,as long as there no more rain. i fished it for about 10 yrs and just loved every year,it's all about all the friends i meet over the years and the people of spring valley. |

Mark, looks like they are keeping above the water, they have the gates in the wall and pumps running. Big winds last night pushed alot of water around.
Water is over Rt. 89 as of 6 am, at 5:30 it was a trickle....by 8 am it was about 6 to 7 inches deep. Probably closed at time of post. |

Location: Spring Valley,Il. | Just heard they are closing highway 89 at noon today.Boat club is surrounded by water but the concrete walls keep water out until it goes over the top of walls in which wont happen this time. What a mess, and right before tournament time.
Hey komo, check out your black members only jacket post in the buy, sell, and trade section.LOL

Location: Berlin | Hey all, I know this is scary right now. I am sure there will be more tournaments that are cancelled there. Just a reminder that Full Throttle is not until April 5th so there is plenty of time for this to go down. If for any reason the levels stay high and it is cancelled they will give you a refund or you can put it towards a future tournament so it is really risk free to sign up. This will be their first time there and I would really like to get as many teams as possible to sign up so they keep going there. Spring Valley is such an awesome place to fish and the town really does open its arm to us tournament guys. Please email me if you want more info or if you have any questions. Thanks to all those that have signed up, I personally really appreciate it.

| Thanks Rich
I would think if the condition's are as bad as last time they will probably cancel
like the other tournaments.
Looks like the water is starting to come down. So with a little luck and a big smile from Mother Nature maybe the MWC will be OK.
