| Looking at upgrading my current Jig rod. I would like to find a rod and reel that would work for both jigging and pitching jigs. I have narrowed the search down a little but would like some advise before i pull the trigger. Right Now im Looking at a 7 foot Shimano Compre Medium power with a Fast action. For the Reel Shimano Symetre 2500FJ. The majority of the time I will use this rod to cast jigs, cranks, and jerkbaits. But still would like to do a little vertical jigging. Will this set up do what im looking for it to do? Is this a good setup for the money or is there something better out there? Thanks for your help

| I don't like anything over 6' for verticle jigging. 7-7 1/2' for pitching jigs. But that's me. | |
