I was wondering what the tow weight on the X-190 is roughly. I'm thinking this boat could be pulled by a smaller truck, or even a bigger car.

It should be about 2600#'s plus or minus 200 depends on motor, gas and such.

boat itself is 1300#
90hp Opti is about 400#
gas and gear is couple hundred pounds
trailer is ???

even if that's withing the towing ratings of a big car, with that much weight and at over 22' of trailer length, i would feel much more comfortable towing it with a truck.

Depends how far you are towing it. If you are going only 10 or 20 miles each way, then you can probably get away with a medium SUV like a Trailblazer, Explorer, or Highlander. Maybe even a minvan or a Crown Vic. If you frequently travel greater distances, and freeway towing for hours, then I suggest a full size SUV or 1/2 ton or bigger truck. Eihter way, trailer brakes are a must. Pretty sure the X-190 will come with brakes.

I previously towed the Champion and Fisher with the Trailblazer and it worked pretty well. I'll probably end up with a F150 or a Trailblazer again. Most of my towing should be around 20-30 miles. We will probably bring the console boat if we plan on fishing Green Bay or Bago.

I do think that the X-190T will be as good as it gets on the Mississippi, and maybe Petenwell. This is all about a year down the road, but it's never to early to start.
