Location: Orland Park, IL | What an excellent win.
At the rules meeting they asked fisherman how many tournaments they fished. Well Steve (pinky) was the only one that stood up when they asked who fished ALL MWC spring valley events. Wow, 23 of them. And it paid off. And they stuck some big fish when they needed too.
Also, great work by Steve Skupien and Dave Zarowski. They stuck some big fish too, and came in 2nd.
Excellent showing by the IWT crew, with Sandors, Skupien and Zarowski, Brothers Walsh, Gachietto Team, Ernats and a host of others.

| Thanks to everyone who has complimented us on our win. Words cannot explain how much it means to me to have accomplished this goal with my dad. He always had time to take me fishing and share his love for walleyes and tournaments with me. While growing up the Spring Valley MWC was like a family holiday. My dad began fishing the Spring Valley tournament 23 years go with his late partner Harold Clemens. They always seemed to be a threat, but were never able to bring down the win. I can remember waiting anxiously on the shores of Barto Landing the year they were in contention win. Unfortunately they fell short and had to settle for second place. Since then it has been a goal of ours to win at Spring Valley. It feels great to finally accomplish our goal.
We could not have done it without the support of our friends and family who have followed us in pursuit of our dreams. Thanks again to everyone that has been there for us we greatly appreciate it.
Also congrats to Steve Skupien and Dave on their second place finish. And to Jay and Billy Walsh for also placing in the top ten. Komo and Ken also made a heck of run for at the end. Great job guys. |
