Hey all, just thought I would check in for an update. Just got done with the rules meeting and ended up with 18 teams for the Full Throttle event. This would have been sunbstantially higher but the bite is brutal right now. A horrible forcast for tomorrow is not helping either.

We have been here since Thursday and this is the worst JIG bite I have ever seen on this river. Alec and I have one spot that we caught one fish on in three days of pre-fishing. The fish are there so hopefully they turn on tomorrow. My guess is this bad weather will actually help the bite. I will let you all know tomorow how everything goes. My guess is the guys trolling will clean up.

Rich, now you know what to do. Grab that trolling rod and tip those cranks with wax worms and clean house. Anyway..my advice is useless. Good luck!

We fished it and yes it was blowing pretty good. Had every kind of weather you can ask for. Started out rain, then a thunderstrom, then snow, then sleet, then sun, then rain, then alittle of everything at once. But had some nice breaks between them. My first time fishing the series and they got there act together. We scratched up 4 fish. We had a poleline 3ways and handline out all day. Our fish were scattered over St. Bede and Peru.

Well, it sure is nice to be home. We made the best of it but all I can say is thank God for Mark Komo and son. They really helped make the trip fun for my son.

I got to meet a lot of super people from this board there. Thanks for putting a face with the name, that was cool. Alec and I will be back, hopefully the water is a bit lower then Congrats to all those that kicked our butts, you earned it!

It was a blast indeed. We had to defer the cannonball contest since the pool was drained on Wed, but refilled with cold, Peru water on Thursday. By Friday it was back to normal. Didnt expect the Illinois State University Sorority "bonding" and get together, but me and the boy muddled through it. ; ) Oh to be young again. Lots of "trading her for 2 - 20's jokes" which was great.

Great to see Mike H and son, mannerino, mike k, rich s and familia, ron l., klino, frankenbarry, ryno, sandors, mark a. and the usual suspects. Said hello to a number of folks including paul fallaw, d clark and chris stutz. Remember, you can bank on Banks (running for mayor of spring valley.) And of course smitty and jason.

The words of encouragement from the field for both my boy and Rich S. boy, was just great. Everyone congratulated them for toughing it out, and being involved. Very well run circuit, no unexpected drama, pretty smooth.

Yeah the knuckleheads had a fun time with swimming, fishing and exploring. They found a washedup gar on shore, and the dnr guy gave them a tour of the sauger holding tanks. "whaddaya doin, pokin it with a stick?" "yeah". We had an impromptu football game in the parking lot on Friday, a very nice day. Ordered takeout food, lots of snacks, carbonated beverages. Fresh waffles for breakfast and cable TV.

Bill G and Jim M were serving hotdogs, coffee and hot chocolate after the tournament. Everything for a buck as the boy would say. Thats a nice little addition from the Spring Valley Walleye Club.

Congrats to Lotz and teammate for the win. Very nice. And super job by mazur and scott a. Way to bring it guys. Nice to see those jiggers at the top of the heap.

"and the winner is...and the winner is...and the winner is..." I could not figure out for the life of me what Matt had got that from.

Yeah, he had a few jokes going. A real funnyman, like his dad. Kept on quoting farticus. LOL. He had the sauger dance going, but they wouldnt respond. Looking forward to the event next year and of course the AYA.
