Having problems with my trolling motor stopping and not starting up. Works fine for a while but if I don't have it on continuous it some times will not start up agian when I push the button. On continuous fine, but if I have to stop it and then go, it will not go. Sometime I have to give it quick turn to the right or left and then she will work again or pull it out of the water and then it will start. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Almost seems like something is grabbing and not releasing in the housing for the motor?

Sounds like you have bad brushes in the motor I had the same problem. When you lift the motor it bounces it enough to break it free. If its not to old warrenty covers it.

Just turned 3 years old this week. There is a MinnKota guy down in Happers Ferry, IA. I guess I will run it down to him and have him get back in shape.
