Thanks guys,

Location: Trempealeau, WI | D the tourney is Sat. April 25th. I think the entry had to be sent in by the 12th. I could be wrong on the the entry deadline. I think they have it on a web site also.

| Good luck this weekend guys! Everyone is pretty tight lipped, so I imagine you are all prefishing hard right now and this past weekend. I saw Phil W. and Adam W. out the other night doing some prefishing too - the trolling bite seems to be really shaping up with the flow getting lower now. Knock 'em dead and don't forget to fish the wood in the backwaters on 8 - some post spawn pigs are there if you look hard enough.

| What about the timber and stump fields in Pool 9!!! Sounds like Bremmer and Boardman cleaned house in them this past weekend at the Stricky Tournament! Almost 60lbs filleted out! WOW!!!! Eat them up!
Wind should be making some pretty good waves in that hole this weekend! Out of the SW from 25-40mph! |

Location: LaCrosse, WI | Tom,
Weather.com predicst 12mph out the SW on Saturday.
Weatherunderground.com only predicts out untill Friday, but on Friday they show 11mph out of the SW.
Accuweather.com shows high winds up to 46mph, so I'm not sure what to expect.
I guess we'll have to see as it gets closer. I have a hard time believing the weather sites up untill a day or two before. |

| This is true, how ever if it is a blower, those people wanting to fish those stump fields south are in for a ride! Imagine the waves from 30mph winds out of the sw on Lake Winneshek!! The Lynxxville shore will be pounded! The stump fields will be MUD. Good luck to them down there though! There are fish there. I'll stick to pool 8.
Good luck! Let'er Blow!!

Location: LaCrosse, WI | I'll be on 8 as well. I'll be away from the crowds and due south winds or SW winds probably won't bother me to much. Good luck

| I think if you guys fish the right spots in the top of the East Channel and by the RR Bridge you should be able to beat the wind better than those fishing in the exposed areas at the south ends of the pools. Those resting females are still staying put and should stay put long as the water doesn't drop. Those in Goose by the first bridge will also stay put as the projected pool height is stabalizing nicely now and no "big" rains are in the forecast. Fish slow and be patient as Tom stated.
Good Luck! |
