Location: Rhinelander | Steve Vandemark leads the field at the FLW out of Port Clinton, Ohio, weighing in 36 pounds 6 ounces to hold a slim lead ( for lake Erie) over second place Alan Szoke's 30 pounds 9. Rick Franklin is in third with 29 pounds 13 ounces, tied with Scott Woodward, and Pat Byle is one ounce ahead of Ted Takasaki's 28 pounds 2. Scott Schiefelbein hold down 7th with 26 pounds 15, just 3 ounces ahead of Perry Good. In 9th is Ronnie Rhodes with 26 pounds 2, and tenth is David Kraft with 25 pounds 15 ounces.
All predictions are Erie is about to turn on and weights will skyrocket tomorrow, so it's going to be a shotout, especially if going into the final day before the cut to ten they are holding a top 20 spot.
Tomorrow's weigh in should be a good one.

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Wow,
Never expected the 24 zero's and the established names behind them. Not to mention the 1 and 2 fish bags brought in. Sounds like many went for the clean water and found it too clean?
Any thoughts Steve? | |

Location: Rhinelander | Sounds like there were quite a few pods of fish that plain wouldn't go, and the reef bite was very tough today. | |

| I don't think I've seen a blank on Erie since there was one in 2003! Anyone care to guess who that was? Wow! I don't care, this tourney should be held at the end of May. Weather is always a poor in April. | |
