Lowrance Bow Unit Help

I either get no seperation on the bottom or too much garbage. Any tips on settings for getting it dialed in so I can actually get some seperation on bottom and a cleaner picture? The transducer is in my bowmount motor. Any help would be great. I like to make sure other sonars are off too...
