The weather did not cooperate with cool temps. and rain all day, however the fish did cooperate with fifty teams weighing a five fish limit. There was a total of 349 fish caught weighing a total of 757.28#
The team of Bud LeFever and Lynn LeFever took first place with five fish weighing 17.16# winning them $4,300. Second place went to the team of Tony Barber and Dale Kuklinski with five fish totaling 15.50# for $2,200. Third place went to the team of Jason Miller and Bill Van Ornun with five fish weighing 15.34# for $1,100. Fourth place went to the team of Derek Mavis and Tom Hoinacki with five fish totaling 14.96# for $900. Fifth place went to the team of Brian Regall and John Kivela with five fish weighing 14.26# for $750.
Brett Leitl and Kelcey Hoehnen had the big fish of the tournament weighing 6.62# winning them two plaques donated by All Sport and Trophy, $100 in Gift certificates from Mack’s Lures, and $80 in gift certificates from Anglers Pride Specialties.
Current Team of the year is Bud LeFever and Lynn LeFever. Bud LeFever and Lynn LeFever are also the current husband/wife team of the year. Current parent/child Team of the year is Tim Pizzi and Ryan Pizzi. Current Sibling Team of the Year is Randy Manteufel and Mike Manteufel.

Nice job guys, that is a heck of a weight in those conditions.
This system is a time bomb right now. If we can just get any kind of stable weather the bite will be unreal. |

Location: Darboy USA | Congrats on the win. Yes, tough conditions indeed. Big change in the fishes mood and location from Friday to Sunday. Could only get 3 to go yesterday, needed those last 2 or one big girl. Never came, although some of the half dozen northern and big white bass had us on edge until we got the boards off! Talk about disappointing.
Anyone know where the top weights came from? |
