Optima batteries and Dual Pro Chargers

Subject: Optima batteries and Dual Pro Chargers


I just bought a Optima 31 Blue Top Marine Deep Cycle Battery to start my 200 Evinrude HO and run my electronics off of. It is replacing a regular lead acid battery. I have always charged my regular lead acid batteries with my Dual Pro Charger (15 amps per bank) and was just wondering how the Dual Pro will do with the Optima battery. I have heard the Optimas have different charging requirements. Do any of you out there charge your Optimas with a Dual Pro? Thanks.

I called Dual Pro and they said it is fine to use with Optima
