| Hey guys, a MuskieFirster here heading up to Spring Bay Resort on Vermilion 4th of July week for Muskie. I suspect we'll pick off a walleye and smallie or two while throwing for the big eaters but if we wanted to target walleye that time of year in the west end of the lake does anybody have any tip for tackle and structure/depth, etc?
I'm not set up for trolling but have plenty of bass tackle available, spinning and casting. Tubes, worms, etc, Rapala cranks/xraps and other stuff.
This is our first time on Vermilion and I appreciate any info you'd be willing to share.
Thanks in advance,

Location: Rhinelander | Steve at Spring Bay will be able to get you on the 'eyes. I'd say reefs, jigs and cranks if you are casting. | |

Makes sense, I'll drop him an email to make sure I bring the right equipment along. A little research last night on line called the jigs/cranks out from 12-25/30 for that time of year. Looks like just backing off some of the muskie spots would work.
