| I am at my wits end, new to kicker motors, used my fathers 90 hp johnson with trolling plate before but i recently purchased a crestliner 202. It has the 250 verado with power steering, i took it to a dealer to get the tiller off the kicker and tie the verado and the kicker so you could steer from the console(tiller gave me a terrible backache). 3 months later and the dealer still hadnt completed the project i took it back and now i dont know what to do. Ive heard that you have problems with tying the verado and the kicker because of the power steering? anyone out there with a set up that works????????????? |

| T-Mac will likely reply to this. I suggest you try a different dealer. 3 months, and it's still not done? Obvious that dealer doesn't have a clue, and I wouldn't want im touching my boat/motor. All I know about the big Verados like you have, is they have Electro-Hydraulic power steering, so you must provide for a way to run the power steering pump when the motor is not on. And then it's just tying the kicker to the Verado with a tie bar.
There was a recent post, and T-Mac posted a picture of his setup.
Just as an FYI, T-Mac was a lund/Mercury dealer, retired, and has extensive knowledge of the Verado. |
