| Thinking of buying a new 19' Pro-v. Not sure if I should get a 1900, a 1975, or a 197 GL? Also not sure if I should get a 225 pro-xs, a 225 verado or a 200 4 cyl verado. Does anyone have any of these boats with any of the motors who could offer some advise on pros and cons of each setup? Curiious about handling rough water and performance of each setup.
Leaning to a 1975 with a 225 pro-xs or a 200 4 cyl verado. ![](https://walleye.outdoorsfirst.com/board/images/emoticons/wink.gif) |

| I still don't understand why people would pick the Pro XS over a Verado. Yes the XS can pull a couple more mph but is the noise worth it? I guess if you like the Harley sounds then you will love the XS.
I love the Verado's... I would go with the Pro V 1975 with a 225 Vrod on the back.

| Well between the 225xs and the 4 cyl 200 hp Verado which is what he is asking I would rec. the XS |

| How about the choice between the 225xs and a 225 verado. Was thinking of a 200hp 4 cyl verado for better fuel economy. How do the xs and a 225 verado compare for fuel economy? |

| I would hop over to the Merc website and checkout the performance bullitans, the Verado and the XS, that 6 cyl Verado is sweet running engine |

| Depending on where you fish, finding authorized service for a verado can be an issue to consider. |
