| Clearly by listing all these options as one package it will get very little support, I believe they want this to be opposed so they can justify going back to EAB. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Boy, I gave them my comment regarding the issue. I will just say this. The earlier they let anyone shoot at the deer with guns, the better the deer are at hiding. They get good at it as their life depends on it. The masses are not even in the woods yet. If They want deer killed, they have to hold the youth hunts and the t-zone shoots after regular gun season. Then you will see more deer during the 9 days like you used to, and you will have more deer killed period. Most hunters are happy to shoot does and 1 1/2 yr old bucks. Everyone will be happier. Landowner permits, they go to general public if they want to have deer removed or they dont get them. They have to right there wrongs.

| I agree, Denny. The deer become more nocturnal from that additional pressure before the gun opener.
I also believe the WI DNR needs to learn how to count deer better. And they need to revise they over winter goals. I forsee land owners shutting down thier property to outside hunting in the very near future. Simply because deer numbers are not what the land owners are accustomed to seeing. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Jayman, I agree that landowners are gonna shut off tracks of land. BUT, the dnr needs to re-think the landowner crop damage tags. When they start getting to many then the run to them to help. The dnr has to turn there heads then. The have to right this wrong that they let happen in the first place. |

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin | For generations the State of Wisconsin did a decent job of controlling the deer herd with an archery season and a 9 day gun deer season. IMHO, that would work just fine again - if we eliminated all baiting/feeding from September 1st until mid-December. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | You know what else, if they would quit taking the under the table money from the insurance companies to get rid of more of the MONEY TAKERS, car deer accidents, it would help right the wrongs as well. There are many wrongs that need righting. |

| I'm not an expert, but here's what I know about the 12,000 odd acres of public that I hunt.
FACT- There aren't even close to as many deer there as there was 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 years ago when I started.
IMHO, the land can easily support the amount of deer there once was, so why are we STILL trying to reduce the herd?
I think most hunters could say the same thing about their little chunk of hunting land. |
