March 26th, 2009 - November 8th, 2009.

It looks as though we might have a few more weeks of open water yet, but my schedule doesn't look as if it will permit me to get out again. I decided yesterday to winterize my boat and put her up for the winter before I get blind-sided by a November snowstorm.

It was a pretty good year. I fished the spring run on the Wolf and Upper Lakes for the 1st time and did fairly well for a beginner, enjoyed the great May/June trolling bite on Bago, garnered my first top 20 tourney finish (OK, so there were only 31 teams, we still finished in the top 20 ), and shared the water with friends on many occasions this summer. Can't wait until next year.

Tip-ups were out on the Cisco Chain last night in at least one bay.
