| Here's a suggestion... take it or leave it. If you don't think you want your name associated with the post, you probably shouldn't post it in the first place. I'm not trying to be a jerk, although some people have suggestted that I can be one without even trying.
Events like this or the Ice Breaker or the Party on Poygan are something nice to break up the monotony (sp???) of the winter. I like the fact that others are willing to take their time to let the rest of us know about them.
Have a nice day!

| Are people that do not want to leave a name unwelcome Brad? You listed charity events or particial charity, the other is not...at least as far as I know. |

| This spring event at Tews has been listed here annually since the old Winnebago Walleye Days. Absolutley nothing wrong with plugging an event, whether it be for an event like this, a party, or a charity. As long as it is wallyey/fishing related.
I assume jerry will be there representing Offshore again? Tommy always has some cool new blades on the table. Rich will be there with his Drop N Stay anchoring system. I'll show up for sure again.

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | On the other hand, can you nay sayers please tell me how Tews should go about tellin' the guys that he is having a open house? What publication does everyone read or what TV channel does everyone watch on a certain day and time. I have struggled with this for years and would like any input that is available.
Thanks

| This is the best way to let everyone know but correct me if I'm wrong...Has there not been people in the past who have posted selling walleye or fishing products that they make only to have it taken off because it was a business add for profit...and is not drawing people to a business, even though because the reps for products you sell will be there, the same thing? |

I can see how the later have offended the predecessor in your statement. He believes he is entitled to sell his wares, and he is entitled to do so if he follows the rules of this website. The guy with a open house is providing a place for many people who are selling product to be in one place at the same time. He is reporting that he will have these people at his store so the fans of this sport may meet them at the same place and not one on one somewhere. This is the difference when it is said and done.
Now, to be politically correct and spend lots of time and effort on the 2% that take offense to the posts of open houses, we should add an events link. That way we can post events like walleye tournys open houses and the such on there. HOWEVER, the guy selling the product still has to post where he always had to, thats on the classifieds page.
I would still like to hear ideas on where to notify more fisherman in an cost effective manner to let them know about these events. Not everyone reads the boards.

| As far as a way to advertise strictly to fishermen, that is a good question. If anyone is interested though here is a way to advertise to 500,000 people for $49.99...it covers northern Wisconsin and upper Michigan. This website is for advertising in print publications.

| Tommy Harris was supposed to be at the Tinley Park Sports Show this weekend. One of the guy's told me he canceled last minute. I am kind of dissapointed being that was the only reason I went to the show. To buy some blades. I hope there was a good reason.
Dissapointed!!! |
