| Dealer told me I need to run ring free in my Yahama 225-4stroke. It is $37 a quart, do I need it, or is there a lees expensive product that will work as well.

| I've been running it in my 2004 115 yamaha and t-8 yamaha since I bought it. I dont guide but do fish a few weekend tournaments and manage to fish probably 3 days a week from April-mid August and I usually buy a quart and that same quart makes it into the next season by a good month or month and a half...I don't know how much you run your boat, but $37 is pretty cheap I think when you break it down per mile. Especially if something were to happen to your motor and Yamaha decides not to stand up to the warranty because you were not using it. My two cents!!! | |
