I am considering fishing the MWC east next year. I have never fished Saginaw or Ontario. I have a 16' lund and am wondering if it would handle those lakes. I have been on lake Erie and see it get real bad in a hurry (Right Rick? HEHE). I know my boat would have never made it through that. I know there is a chance of any lake getting rough. I am asking on average are these two lakes known for the big waves or are they relatively calm?

Thanx

Both can and do get real mean real fast. I have seen Saginaw Bay go to 9' in a few minutes with a big NE wind.

Hey Jason, I would pass on those tournaments. A 16 foot boat will not take the punishment these lakes will dish out.

However, you are a prime candidate to partner up with someone who has a worthy boat and you really should consider this option. Or, if you really have to be the boat owner, our experience together should make you decide that a Patriot Power Boat is your answer!

For less than 30 G's, we can get you into a 20 foot Patriot with a 150 Merc. Or, if you feel spendy, I can sell you my boat, complete with the powerful 250 Horse Evinrude Ficht Ram Injection - and you know it's power more than anyone else - at the end of this tournament season.

Let me know what your going to decide!

Teaming up with someone that has a boat would be fine. Guess i'll have to keep my ears open for a boat owner that is looking to fish the circuit and needs a partner.

Talk to John Dolly, he lives and breathes New York fishing and knows alot of tournament anglers over in your area. Go click on inbox at the top of the page and then find and click private message. You'll find John on the list and can send him a message.

Of course, he may read this post before you and then fire off a message to you!

Hey Jason, When it comes to the waves we get here I am very brave but not brave enough for a 16 foot boat. Don`t get me wrong some days you can fish with a 16 footer but you can`t plan on it. If I chould find someone looking for a partner in this I will give them your name.
