Location: Manitowoc, WI | I wonder if the battery draw will make it difficult to last all day with all the new functions. |
|
|
|
| I was wondering the same thing..
I was contemplating going with the 101, however i have storage in front for 2 batteries and plenty in back for 3 or 4..
I opted to go with the 80lb terrova and am in the market for 80lb engine mount.
Instead of just going 101 terrova..
IMO the versitlity of an engine mount proves to be a tool that is as valuable as the auto pilot.. |

| I was going to get one for the powerdrive v2 until I talked to a sales rep and if you put the i pilot on it you can no longer use your foot pedal. That is what is keeping me from buying it cause it is easier to tap left or right on the foot pedal than pushing a button. Oh well just my thought!!! |

| I just checked the FAQ section on Minn Kota's website, and this is true. Guess I will not be getting the i-Pilot after all.

| I just put one on my boat last month and I had the understanding that you could still use your foot pedal? I will test mine today. 80# Terrova

It has been slow and spotty for the last couple of weeks with some great days mixed in. Same as the weather has been.
The launch kind of sucked for a while with the ice building up in the cove but it is OK now.
The bite is really negative and light. Drop shot rigs fished vertical has been the best.
I have been getting limits of "eaters" but have to work hard for them.
Haven't had a fish over 3# in a couple of weeks.
Maybe the thaw will pick things up some.
The flow is still at 15000 FPS.
Maybe the thaw will create a bit of a surge and help some.

I just fished below the dam at yankton yesterday, friday, and it was real slow, couldn't even get a bite but managed to snag 8 paddlefish by accident. Only saw one walleye get caught out of 12 boats. Had some buddies go 2 days ago and managed to get 3 and only saw 4 others get caught all day long. Pretty slow right now. Either way it's always a crap shoot, some days get nothing, next day hammer them

Things began to pick up a little today with the rain and snow melt.
If the weather stays as predicted we are only a couple weeks away from things starting to pick up.
2 fish ... 17"and 18 1/2 ... 1.5 hours ... jig / meat
