I am wondering what size are the rails for the tuffy. I have ordered my boat and I am getting all the things ready for it and I have been looking at rod holders for the rails and they have 2 sizes 1 1/4 and 7/8 can someone tell me which size is the right size to mount. Thanks Steve

I ended up getting the 1890 with 200 on it. I am sooooo excited. I might be the only Texan with a tuffy. Everytime I say what I am getting everyone goes " Your getting a what" But when they see it they will be saying where can I get me one. I am hoping to send pics of some of the big fish in the new boat. Last year I had a personal best of 65lb blue cat. 13 lb lmb and 3.3lb crappie and 27lb redfish. So I am hoping to break all those records this year.

Check these out if you care to;

I had them put rails front and back on my X-190 especially to run holders and mounted 8 of these on the rails using the rail mount option. They are the slickest rod holders I've ever used. Not cheap, but worth it. All the guys that fish out of my boat rave about them after they have seen them in use. They hold the rods securely, don't bugger up the rod handles, and it takes less than a second to get the rod out when there is a big fish on or even when you are fishing rod bending crankbaits and bucktails. I've used Robert's and Scotty's holders in the past and they are servicable but lack the beefy construction these holders have.

Folbe all the way. They're rail adaptor fits the Tuffy rails. I've been using the Folbe rod holders for 5 years. By far, better than the Scotty's. Never seen the Cannon, so can't comment. Looks a lot like the Scotty though, so no thanks.

What kind of warranty do they have? They are proud of them. I looked at the attwood heavy duty ones and they looked pretty strong and a good price. 3 year war. with them.

I can't answer on the warranty right now. I'll call and find out. I never asked them. I've never heard of one breaking, or having a problem where it needed to be returned.

If you have any concerns, give Joel a call and ask him about his product. He's a great guy, and will gladly answer any of your questions.
