Location: Badgerland | So I had some time on my hands, out of curiosity I looked up them on the FLW's site, given that they may or not be accurate, 19 of the 41 boaters have fished less than 1 Tour event on the boater side in the last 4 years, 4-5 of them no Flw events ever, 4-5 havent fished any FLW event in 4 years, the rest were FLWL transfers, So 22 Tour guys from last year only. Maybe the FLW looks at this maybe not, I hope they do. How about them going back to FLWL format raise the price to say 400-500 and drop the tour ? wouldnt the fields fill up with Tour guys that did the math and saw the ROI was not there if you traveled out of thier state ? and add in the FLWL'ers that thought 750 was even to steep for a local tour event ? but could see investing a smaller amount with little or no travel expence for three events ? or no ???? lower entry fee, lower expences = more entrants = more payout ? Stacker is right on about the percentage of the entry money VS payout, that needs to be adjusted also.

Location: Rhinelander | Tough to second guess, IMO.
Summary--payout is too weak in depth (past first, and then only if the right equipment is used) to make any money on the Tour and keep the Tour Pros in force. Entry is high and expenses high in comparison for some of those who were doing League; 1 day expenses VS 3, entry fee larger. Payout only larger if a win or large fields.
All they could do was deal with the budget they have and make a run at it. It is what it is, unless a major change is on the way. Either tournament anglers will adjust with the FLW and fish it, or not. Jury is still out, but it's tough run right now.
Basically a self fulfilling prophesy. How to change it for Red Wing and Bago? Up to the FLW, and they didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

Location: Badgerland | True on the second guessing, I'm sure Bago will be much higher entrants, Red wing too I would wager.

Location: Darboy USA | I think that's good news, assuming changes are going to be made. If they are planning to run it the same as this year, it's a waste. It would be nice if they ever listened to their fisherman advisory team instead of just doing what they "think" will work. Ask the people who are supporting your jobs what they want, then you will get the turnouts.
As an aside, I find it interesting that on their website they just finally today put on an article about Spring Valley event. The date shows April 15 as the news wire date. Besides that not one thing since the Erie tournament which was 3 weeks ago. No interviews with Erie participants, future tournament participants, no news whatsoever! How are we to believe they are one of the top 2 professional tournament organizations for walleye when they go 3 weeks without any info?? Now their bass side is a different animal, new updates everyday or every other. Seems like a trend here......
Give the fans and interested persons reasons to follow and log on to your website, follow your tour, and most importantly, the fisherman who are supporting you this year. Guys who have signed up for all tournaments or at least the east or west series should be given some facetime. That is, assuming you care about the anglers and your tour.......
