| If the World Walleye Rankings are not going to be updated you might as well take them off the site. They haven't been up dated since 10-17-08. I would thought someone would have came up with a new formula by now.

Location: Rhinelander | There is no 'new formula' that would mean anything and not be ridiculously volatile. A 'ranking' system where all one needs to be is in the system and all one needs to do is win an event to take over first isn't relevant.
The AIM circuit needs to be in place for two years for the data to be relevant just like the Pros need to fish for two years to rank, and the FLW entry fee and other changes make it a different circuit than in the past. Mr. Parsons is the leader since the last available data set that can be used in a REAL ranking system was available. The PWT went out of business, and just when AIM was established, the FLW changed the structure of the Tour enough to seriously skew whatever data arrives from that source. I'm sure everyone would recognize that the 'weight' of an FLW Tour win now can't equal a 2009 win.
We should be able to get enough data after the next AIM to begin to make the system somewhat viable again. Until that time, OutdoorsFIRST refuses to rank the Pros willy nilly based upon weak or nonexistent data. |

| The data entered ends after the 2009 Lake Erie event. Seems there is a full year of FLW data missing prior to the FLW changes that could be added. |

That is correct, Scott. The FLW has more data that could be entered, but the PWT held their last tournament fall of 2008. So entering the data from the 2009 FLW season wouldn't be fair to the PWT guys who have no data in 2009 and would seriously skew the end result.
