Are there any known records for the actual days the lake fly hatch on Winnebago has started through-out the years?

I can tell you the flies on Saginaw were absolutely unreal at the recent AIM event. And early.

I've lived on the lake for over 20 years and also grew up in Menasha. This was by far the earliest I can remember. The general rule of thumb is they hatch on Mother's Day weekend.(first hatch) They were about 2 weeks early this year. Not the worst I've ever seen but probably in the top 5.

Certainly the hatches of the last several years have indicated some sort of rebound to the hatches back in the day. There were quite a few years where the hatches were almost nonexistant. Some blamed the Zebra Muscle, and the resulting loss of mud. Certainly that cannot be the case. Wonder what the real case was for the slow hatches?
