Anyone ever have a lock on one of your compartments get locked and stuck? I locked one of my lids on vacation, and now when I put the key in I can't turn it at all. I think something may have sprung loose or sheered off. Is there anyway to fix it besides punching the lock out or drilling through?

Any help would be appreciated and worth a beer or two!!

Yes, just turn it really hard, it will break open...then it will need to be replaced if you want it to lock again. I had the rod locker lock replaced at the dealer(under warranty) the next time I went in....

Sometimes a shot of WD40 right into the key hole is enough to loosen stubborn locks.

wd 40 with the key in it... you got some dirt in there... I never lock them... those upward facing locks just collect the dirt... I would suggest becoming intimate with the locks and lubricate them every once in a while... I was in the marine business for a long time, they are not really high tech... I've actually taken the metal flappers off the back side to make the compartments easier to open... Tuffys got a real snug watertight fit... I do not ever leave anything valuable in the boat any more... if some dumbass wants to drag a gigantic optima battery down the road, go for it...
