Location: Rhinelander | Dan and Luke decided to 'go for it' this morning, and head over 40 miles south hitting some of their favorite water while driving directly into what was supposed to be some fairly tough conditions. They hit pre-fish areas and set up a system pulling cranks where they ran one deep pass on each targeted area, and then one shallow in each targeted area, looking for a respectable weight for the weather abbreviated MWC on Lake Michigan's Bays De Noc.
At day's end they had 30.32 after the bite turned on on a shallow run, enough to pass second place John Schneider and John Hazen who weighed in 30.06. Schneider and Hazen took big fish in the Big Fish Pool as well.
Stand by for video, interviews, and more from the storm ended weigh in out of Gladstone. JUST as the weigh in came to an end, a storm rolled through pretty much blowing out any chance of finishing up the awards for awhile.
Stand by for more!

Location: Rhinelander | Absolutely. John is a great guy, a devoted NPAA member who volunteers considerable time to the cause, and is a VERY tough competitor out on the water! Nice job at the MWC, sir. |

Location: Badgerland | I would also like to give an THUMBS UP AWARD to GMW who left an area where we were fishing that was void of only 1 fish, only to have some of our brotheren come in to that second spot from the north, GMW graciously pulled lines and came back to the desert, leaving those fish and a certainly a 1st place for him, behind to the boys in the bigger poker game than the one we were involved in. |
