Location: Orland Park, IL | We launched and it was beautiful, eh. We had some molson canadian waiting in the truck, eh. We trolled a bit, fished a bit, and catched a bit, eh. Some nice fish eh, with a couple of big ones thrown in. Good group of guys, eh. One chap caught a 13.8lb fish, eh. Very nice. Wanted to go to the peelers, eh, but was too busy eating fish.

Location: Orland Park, IL | Its a little over 4 hours from buffalo, through hamilton and toronto. You may be able to run via kingston way.
We gotta get that tuffy out there for some good fishing and pics. See if we can get you in that new tuffy catalog!
Not a big fan at all about dragging walleyes up from 70 feet. This was a fishing club tournament and he swung for the fence. Got the big fish and won the tournament. Fish from that deep are like 100% mortality. I like the higher column biters and release quite a few. Didnt keep one fish this weekend. All were put back......for you!

Location: Orland Park, IL | Heck, that shot will work just as good, eh. What is that snow?
Its funny, not venturing East of Gary Indiana much, its just so nice to see the different ways of fishing for walleyes using different techniques. I appreciate now the tournaments at Henderson Harbor in the spring where the MWC was held in 2004. And Dunkirk NY in the summer, where the PWT MinnKota North Eastern Pro-Am tournament was held in 2003. Or the Niagari River. There was always a Lake Ontario event amongst the majors in NY. And I am beginning to see why. The fishing and the anglers were top notch! |
