How is the fishing around Green Bay. I will be in the area this weekend and would like to do some trolling. Have the fish moved out inot the bay? What depth should I look for or locations? Also any suggested colors and blades sizes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Scott? Who makes a gold crank bait, Nice of you to list the color, I troll quite often and never used a gold before, How far back were you? I use offshores and don't fish greenbay too much, My concentration is the bago system, I would love to try a gold lure out there, size?. Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the 2nd place finish. We fished the same tourney and wound up with 10 #'s.

Good Luck and we'll see ya at winnebago.

I was pole lining, similar to handlining, just using a musky rod with a heavy superline. We took most of our fish on #9 gold/black original rapalas on a 25 or 15 foot lead back from the main line. the metallic rainbow shallow Jr. thunderstick also produced some nice fish.
We worked the channel edges form 14-18 feet. ravel bottom was key to catching our fish.

The fish I caught were spitting up 6-7" white perch.

Good luck,
Scott

Hi scott,

I was wondering if you could show me one of those set-ups when we fish winnebago. I'd be intereseted in learning a new technique.

Thanks and good luck.

There is also a good article in Walleye Insider on pole lining. I can't recall which month. It was a few issues back.
