Playing around with my new VHS to DVD program the last couple of days and started transferring some of the old 30 or so VHS tapes to DVD. Some go back 24 years. Very close to the time I first started fishing the Tittabawassee River in a small 14 footer and a couple of years before I even bought my Jet Boat for chartering. The fishing back then was off the charts and as close to being Walleye Heaven as you'd ever want to get. From 1987 to about 1990 this river produced walleye for Me like some virgin Canadian Lake. The fishing since then has been up and down, but never as good as it was back then. Low water levels and clarity are the main culprits, but the demise of the Alewives on the Great lakes are also a main factor IMO. These prime forage fish used to run up the Saginaw and then the Tittabawassee as early as mid-September, which drew and then held many walleyes up-river with them way into January. That's all changed and My last good trips on the Tibb were about 3 years ago, when water depths were sustained by some steady early fall rains. Below I have linked 4 trips that show just how good I/we had it for a few years. Be forewarned, these are not TV shows, so there are about 3 or 4 swear words in these videos I could not crop out. Not bad really for a boat full of men and as long as the videos are. Enjoy.

For those of you looking for a snowy days entertainment and not sick of watching me catch fish or guide people to catch them, I've up-loaded a few more trips from years past that include Steelheads, Kings and a very rare Pink Salmon trip on the St. Marys River. On this particular trip we catch a 4 man 2 day limit with 6 Michigan Master Angler Pinks included. And Keep checking back, as I have several more ready to be downloaded when my Gigabites get restored at the begining of the week.
