Location: Rhinelander | Kevin and Bob O'Connell took top honors at the MWS in WInneconne today taking home first place trophies and a check for $3700.00. They caught their fish trolling bright colored Junior Thuntdersticks in the river, and were still searching for a 'kicker fish' when the tournament day ended. O'Connell's weight of 12.08# was enough to take first by nearly 2#.
Second went to Christman and Leanna, weighing in 10.56 for a check totaling $2000.00. Third went to Leitl and Hoehnen, who weighed in 8.82 and cashed a check for $1100.00. Fourth went to Adler and Dempsey weighing 8.38 for $850.00, and fifth went to Van Schyndel and Schyndel at 8.32 for $700.00.
The winds were very tough out there today, and most of the anglerd talked about the ride back and poor boat control as a result. Fish were caught locally in the river, up to Fremont, and in the lakes using tactics from vertical jigging, pitching jigs, casting cranks, and trolling cranks.
Big Fish went to Tim and Nicki Pizzi at 4.54#.

Location: Darboy USA | Yep, you can troll all the way up to the mouth of the Wolf in Poygan. So, there is a large stretch of river in Winneconne where trolling is legal, just not always easy to do with all the boat traffic going up and down. | |

| Congratulations Kevin and Bob, pretty rough condition to be trolling in, but it worked none the less | |
