Thanks for your replies but what I'm after was a post system to put under existing seats. With Smooth Move and Glyde Rides you have to lower post and move seat base back about 4 inches. This ad I saw was put spring loaded post under existing seat no fuss no muss..

I do not have personal experience in the pedastal post. If you have already been in a boat that has one, then you know what you want. I can tell you that my
Ranger had a pedastal type shock and was not good enough for someone with major back issues. I did buy smoothmoves two years ago and it is the best thing I ever put in a boat, period.

I don't know Jim, that big walleye that gave you enough weight to win the Merc Nats was probably the best thing you ever put in your boat but I am sure the Smooth Moves are a close 2nd
