Installing on EM. Anything I need to know?

Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI I'm about to start drilling holes in the cavitation plate of my F225 Yamaha. Is there anything I need to know before I mount this bad boy? Jerry, I suggest putting the head of the bolts UNDER the cavitation plate to avoid any turbulence for the prop to try and grab water..... Also, run the wire up the back of the cowling, splice in quick-connects inside the cowling, and then run the wire to the battery terminals....in case you need to service it anytime, this is much easier than removing the entire wire!! hope it helps..
