| The third tournament of The Boat Doc Walleye Invitational has concluded and congrats to all anglers fishing this event. The weather was wonderful and the fish cooperated.
A total of 165 fish were caught out of 38 teams. Our release rate cannot be determined due to the DNR testing of fish.
1st place went to the team of Mark O’Brien and Michael O’Brien weighing five fish for a whopping 21.26 lbs and earning a check for $1500.
2nd place went to the team of Justin Krueger and Aaron Bilitz weighing five fish for 16.41 pounds and earning a check for $750.
3rd place went to the team of Don Wiesner and Jason Wiesner weighing five fish for 12.14 pounds and earning a check for $650. Jason also won the highest Boat Doc finisher of $200 for fishing out of a new G3 aluminum 172c.
4th place went to the team of Tom Moulton and Jeff Zillges weighing five fish for 11.01 pounds and earning a check for $550.
5th and 6th place was a tie with the teams of Mike Galligan and Stu Wells along with Travis Trepanier and Shawn Wendt weighing five fish for 10.65 pounds earning both teams a check for $350. Travis Trepanier will also get an additional $125 from Triton Boats for being the highest placing Triton owner signed up for Triton Gold in the top ten!
7th place went to the team of Randy Harwood and Brad Skupas weighing five fish for 10.59 pounds and earning a check for $250.
8th place went to the team of Matt Prey and Travis Nelson weighing five fish for 10.5 pounds and earning a check for $200.
Big fish went to the Mark and Michael O’Brien with a 5.62 lb’r earning them $300 and second place big fish went to Wayne Gregor and Dale Boeck with a 3.96 lb’r earning them $30.
The smallest five fish limit went to Wayne Horn and Gordy Schwarz weighing a whopping 6.95 pounds and earning them the $100 dutch’s Trading Post gift certificate.
Door prizes given away include 3 bottles of Mercury Quick Care, 3 bottles of Mercury Quick Clean, 5 gallons of Mercury Premium Plus oil, The Boat Doc gift of a Rapala electric filet knife, Drop N Stay anchor system, and two Mercury shirts for the highest Mercury running finishers.
The next Boat Doc Invitational is July 10th and we still have openings. Entry fee is $150 plus membership and Late fee starts the Tuesday before the tournament. All members receive 10% off most parts and accessories purchased through The Boat Doc until December 31st 2011.
