Location: Menasha, WI | Had the pleasure of fishing w/ Age Joe today. Hit 'em pretty good on harnesses in 19'. The fish were deep. 1oz, 40'-50' back was the ticket. Gold blades.

| They must have taged alot of fish this year or i'm real lucky,last 3 times out got a taged fish.havent made it out to the mud this year as i'm having good luck trolling shallow,3.5'-5.5'. Having 2 move around a bit 2 find them.Its been at least 5 years since i last caught a taged fish.there sure are alot of 15"-16"FISH.  |

I'd love to see the data from your tagged fish. Always interesting to see how far they travel.
BTW, We got our share of 15"-16" yesterday, but we also caught some bigger fish out in the mud.  |

| I got info on the 2 of taged fish. First one tagged at ruedens marsh on 3-22-10,15.7"/caught on 7-9-11 17" 2nd onetagged on 3-25-10 at cousins marsh, 17.4"/caught on 7-10-11, 18".both caught in bago west side. Ralph. |

Right in that ballpark, yes. Small speed changes as we turned or adjust the kicker often triggered the fish |

Location: Green Bay, WI | I haven't fished Bago since 7/9 and the key for us was making turns. I had the EM set so we were traveling 1.2 to 1.3 then I would make a turn that would stall the inside boards. When I would straighten out, we'd get bit. Sometimes it was the inside boards catching up - sometimes it was the outside boards slowing down. |

| Tried 19' off of the Legion for 4 hours this morning. Not one eye but I did catch 3 more perch trolling which brings my total to more than a dozen for this year. I've never caught anywhere near that many perch in the past while trolling. 1 oz anywhere from 30' to 50' back. Started out with gold and began switching things up after nothing but sheep the 1st hour. Wasn't meant to be for me this morning. Maybe it was too calm. It was so calm that my bow mount kept me between 1.1 and 1.3 almost all the time. Anywhere from about six to twelve other boats in the same general area. |

Location: Berlin | I took some friends out this morning and caught between 25-30. All of them came on top of the reefs from the mouth to neenah. Every reef we stopped at had fish. Everyone is fishing perch so the tops are barren. Easiest fishing I have seen in a while. Biggest was 19", average was 16.5". All on jigs/crawlers. |

Location: Berlin | I wish they were bass. Unfortunately they were eyes. Went out Sunday and got a limit in 20 minutes. The bite is REALLY good for eaters right now.
These bass got me frustrated. I can catch 14-16"ers all day but getting them over 18" is proving much more difficult. It is fun doing something different but sure would be nice to see a couple 5lbers. I know how to catch them in spring and early summer but this time of year sure is harder. If anybody has any info, I would sure appreciate it. |

Location: Manawa Wiscowsin | There are some small lakes about 40 to 50 miles NW of Appleton/Oshkosh where you can reasonably expect to land several large mouths over 5lbs each trip. The landings are generally unimproved so forget about using a big boat. Any boat over 14' long will give you problems and most of these lakes are under 50 acres so "slow no wake" is the rule year round. The 38 acre lake behind our old farm holds nice bass by every sunken dead fall that hangs over the drop off. |

| went out 8/4 after work,took a guy that never fished bago before.Told him ive been catching fish and i would get him his some walleye.s driving up 41 c all flags are still no wind. ended up trolling 4'-6'.got 5 in 1.5 hrs then 2hrs of nothing then 4 more after that.didn't think we would get any being that calm.Hi gilman, haven't lost a board 4 awhile.lol.Ralph |

| Hi Ralph! Glad to hear your luck is holding out for you! Looks like you're doing better than me fishing also. I was on them good last Saturday and Sunday but unfortunately my dad wasn't well enough to come along. Then I took him out 8-4 in the morning and caught many 5" white bass and that was it. Never thought of trying shallow with how calm it was. At least dinner was free with all the bugs I swallowed. |

| The perch bite was very slow for me this weekend and I'm curious how everyone else did? I fished the southern part of Lake Winnebago. Curious to see if the lack of active perch was just the areas I fished or the whole lake? |

| I fished perch yesterday (8/7) from 11:00 til 3:30. Found them in the third spot we tried (Long Point area, 14 FOW). It was "one pole only" for quite a while the bite was so hot. The size was not great, but we kept 20 (out of maybe 150) that were 8 to 9.5". We got some of the bigger ones early on helgramites, but only had a dozen of them, so then used crawler pieces. I also tried plastics and jigging rapalas with no luck (surprising to me). I used a vertical perch-eye jig (orange), but my partner did well on a plain hook also. |

Location: LaCrosse, WI | Can't say I've casted a lot of cranks on the Winnebago system, but I cast them a ton on the Mississippi. I use 7' Rapala rods. The whole key is a rod with a fairly soft tip so you can get that whip action on your cast. The other key piece is the right reel. I like spinning reels, so I go with as big of a spinning real as I can get for this.
I've got a couple Okuma 10 ball bearing spinning reals that are have very big spools on them that work great. I typically anchor about 20-30 yards about a wing figleaf and cast cranks over the top of it. No problem with this set up, unless there's a strong south wind. |

I have played with a few and hands down the best I have found is a Shimano Compre spinning rod 7' ML. Perfect action for cranks. I have a 2500 size Shimano reel and 15lb power pro in moss green. This is a really nice set-up. |

Location: Berlin | We got 10 in just under 2 hours and that included a drive from Oshkosh to Neenah. Fish were 14-19". Some fat, most skinny. The bite has been unreal for eaters this last month. Doing the same thing Viking said. |
