I have a Eagle 640c that is 30 days past the warranty.  I purchased the unit last summer for $499.00 for my boat at the cottage.  The unit has less than 30 hours on it.  The power button does not work.  The unit will power up with the assessory dash switch and then the backlight goes dark so you can't work any of the options.

I'm not going to bash Lowrance here since they are still not helpful at all (they want $300 to exchange the unit).  Anyone know how to fix this unit.  I hate to waste $500.00 for less than 30 hours of usage?
