| Day one of the AIM Championship is underway under windy and cold conditions, offering stark contrast with the summer pattern prefish. The Pros are making a decision to either run the 90 miles to the dam or stick locally within 20 miles and fish the local walleye population.
Lund Pro Ted Takasaki said he had a good prefish and wasn't sure what the cold front would do to his bite. he feels his game plan needs to be 'hero or zero', and as a result, he's shooting for the fences.
Navionics Pro Tommy Skarlis found some active fish on jigging spoons, and is looking for that pattern today.
The wind is forecast to hit nearly 30 mph in gusts, and temps with a high in the 50's. A hard freeze is possible tonight, reinforcing the cold front with even stronger winds possible.
Watch for the weigh in at http://www.aimfishing.com beginning about 4 PM tonight.
