Lived in this area all my life and seen just about everything Mother Nature can throw at a water front community. With the help of a NE wind, seen 10 ton ice flows come ashore and plow down trees in the Bay side park and Destroy Bay front homes 40 yards from the waters edge. Seen and been in some impressive Saginaw Bay waves myself over the last 45 years. But nothing compared to the last 2 days. Comfirmed and sustained NNE winds 48 knots and gusting to 58 created waves 15 to 19 feet on the bay last night and this morning. Considering the inner bay is only 26 feet deep, things will be shaken up some top to bottom for a while. The on-shore damage reports will start (I'm sure) after this is over.
