Is there a quick change clevis out there that the blades actually stay on until you change them? Or is getting blades knocked off by eye's and sheep just part of the program? It would be nice to get more than 1 fish out of the fancy custom expensive blades out there. I've got some "heavy duty" black one from cabelas but have yet to tie up any harnesses with them, they look kinda bulky.

squid,

Yes, it must be the brand you're using. I rarely loose blades. I wish I could tell you what brand I'm using but I bought pack of 500 several years ago, put them in my blade box, and tossed the package. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that, "Yes", there are cleavis out there that will work better. Good luck.

If any of you could get me a name of these I would sure be grateful. Lost quite a few blades last year myself. Started putting on regular clevis but thats a pain switching all the time.

This look's promising. It was mostly 6s that were getting knocked off. Thanks

Stop catching all those goats, and you'll stop losing blades!

I don't know any more. Last time I fished for eyes was over a year ago! Taking a couple years off to watch my daughter play softball. Even going to CO for family vacation this year to watch her play in a national tourney. Sell my boat!

Didn't see these posts till today. Your correct Shep, lots of huge sheepheads shaking things up. Bought a new sled myself this year and have not used it yet. Not from lack of snow but got something thats making my bones die. Replaced right hip 12-20 and drilled holes in my left on Tuesday in hopes it savethat one from dieing more. If this doesn't work then I get a fake hip again.

Been in bed since November. Lucky Stacker comes over and cheers me up or Tina would have left me by now. Amazing how we take things for granted until you lose them. Hope all is well with you Shep. Take care.

Things are going good Andy. Sorry to hear you are laid up for a while. I bought slightly used sleds with only 2K on them. Once I sell that boat, I'll be updating, I think. If we EVER get any snow! This summer will be spent watching Lauren play softball all over the country.

Get better soon.
