Location: Appleton | Congratulations and THANKS to all 104 teams that fished the MWS Upper Winnebago tournament.
The winds were light this year nothing like last years brutal all day winds. The sun was out all day with comfortable temperatures throughout the day. The fish cooperated with many teams boating as many as fifty fish however to get the larger walleye proved to be a challenge. Success varied from early to all day. Eighty five teams weighed a five fish limit. There was a total of 452 fish caught weighing a total of 1037.9#.
The team of Louie Apitz and Scott Hausauer took first place with five fish weighing 17.92# winning them $5,100. Second place went to the team of Jeremy Thull and Matt Bongert with five fish totaling 17.50# for $2,700. Third place went to the father/son team of Dan McGuire and Jake McGuire with five fish weighing 16.28# for $1,400. Fourth place went to the team of Brian Regall and Don Trester with five fish totaling 16.12# for $1,000. Fifth place went to the team of Doug Mc Donough and John Vogel with five fish weighing 15.98# for $850.
The Navionics award went to the team of Randy Harwood and Bob Caryl
The Tommy Harris award went to the team of Travis Trepanier and Shawn Wendt
The Intrude Products/Anglers Pride Specialties award went to the team of Brian Gustke and Steve Monacelli
The big fish of the tournament weighing 5.60# was caught by the team of Pat Raaths and Joe Borszich winning them two plaques donated by All Sport and Trophy, a $100 gift certificate donated by TRS The Reel Shot home of the JJ Keller fishing team.
Current Team of the year is Louie Apitz and Scott Hausauer. The current parent/child Team of the year is Dan and Jake Mc Guire. Current husband/wife team of the year is Ron and Vickie Goldapske. Current Sibling team of the year is Matt Miller and Jason Miller

Location: Berlin | Nice Job. We are all in for a fun year with weights coming in like this in APRIL! 85 teams had a limit and at a glance looks like those fish had over a 2lb average. Unreal. |
