Location: Rhinelander | It was nealry 50 degrees today here, and some of the lakes lost a bit of ice as a result. Gave me a chance to get my boat ready for a road trip, and clean up and stack the woodpile . Tomorrow now, that is a different story. We are forecast to get 5 inches of snow and 35 MPH winds. Sheesh, the weather here has been weird this fall!

I always thought Michigan had the distinction of being the only State, where if you didn't like the weather, just stick around for a few hours and it will change. I've since learned that the whole upper midwest is in the same ballpark. Makes it real rough to plan anything ahead of time hey?

Location: Menominee MI, In Da UP Eh? | Yup she's a howling on the south end o the UP tonight! We just have wind advisories here, but the Kewanaw(sp) and the northern UP are set for winter storm warnings, the eastern UP is set for Blizzard warnings as is the NW side of the lower penninsula.....The snowmobilers must be wetting themselves now, after what passed for snow the last few years...
