Hello everyone. Glad to have the board back up for discussion on our area!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have updated all the information about the size structure, growth, tournament info, yearclasses, fall shocking, sauger stocking, etc. and have put it into ringbinders that are distributed around the system at bait shops and bars... places were we fisherman hang out! If you're interested in that stuff, and I know that many of you are, ask to look at them.

They are located in the following places: Tew's Too, Jerry's Bar and Fox River Bait and Tackle in Oshkosh, Gander Mountain and The Sportsman in Appleton, Critter's in Winneconne, Dutch's in Fond du Lac, Trip's Tapsidermy in Pipe, Pete's Fisherman Inn in Brothertown and the Quinney Quencher in Quinney, the Harbor Bar in Stockbridge, and Eureka Dam Campsites. I will also try to get one to Chico’s Landing and Ma's in Fremont and possibly other spots very soon.

The newspapers around the system seem to place less and less importance on covering area hunting and fishing issues and information, except for perhaps a single page on Sunday. Sad in an area of the state so rich in fish and game. Feel free to let me know what you think about this way to get the info out to you, or to offer other ways. I would also like to utilize this and other internet sites as well. If you have any comments, feel free to let me know.

Get the boats ready... soft water's just 'round the corner! I'm going down to Bass Pro in Gurnee this weekend for their big sale. Hope the wife put her check in the bank!

Kendall,
Great to see you on the site and always a pleasure to read the great information that you provide.

I'm looking forward to that 2001 year class and hopefully we'll get some rain to help out the 2002 year class.

Good luck and keep up the good work[:)]

Kendall, thanks for the info. I'll look up those binders. Is this same information available on a website?
Thanks,
Jim O

Glad to see you back Kendall. Looking forward to what I think will be a great year on Winnebago. If only the ice will finally go away.

We had a fairly substantial shad die-off along the east shore. The first one happened right before freeze up and another occurred last week when the ice was shoved to the west shore. The seagulls got so fat they couldn't fly!

Keep us posted.

Jim O: No, not at this time (I'm too much of a dinosaur with this computer stuff!) However, that is the direction that I would eventually like to go. Until then, I will try to utilize this board as much as possible to keep everyone informed.

Hafe: I don't have a mailing list for individuals. If a few of you (and let me emphasize a few!) are interested, I could send you a packet of the same info that is contained in the binders. However, I don't want to have to start mailing out any number of these. That's why I've started with the ringbinders.

I was wondering if you could leave a binder in Neenah somewhere? Maybe True Value or the library.

I will see what I can do. I'm out of binders at the moment and would have to order some. That probably won't happen until we're done with the spring work. Is the True Value store a tackle shop as well? I would like to have them at places that have a good flow of anglers through them.

The True Value does have a sporting goods dept. and they also sell licenses. The store is located right across from Fox Point shopping center. Would be nice to see your report up there. [:)]

Kendall and I are working on making some of the info, as well as future information, available right here. I'll keep you updated.
