| thinking about getting a new ranger 620t(tiller) and unsure what to power it with. I currently have a 2002 ranger 620t with a 115 suzuki. great rig but at times could use a little more power and speed. My priority is slow forward trolling speed without using drift socks. anyone out there using the new merc 150 four stroke or suzuki 140 on a big tiller. like to know how slow forward they will troll down to. my 115 trolls 1.9 to 2.2. local dealer told me the merc 150 on a ranger 620 would troll down to 1 mph. I told him I'd order new rig but if it didnt troll under 2mph I would return rig for a full refund. he wouldn't accept my offer. sure would like to hear from users of either motor on how they perform. thanks. |

Location: Rhinelander | The new Merc four stroke is much stronger than the Suzi. I have experience with both. Great motors, each, but the Merc is much stronger and will be faster. |

| one thing to look at is where to get it serviced i work on them and when i need parts its ebay or some other site or there is one dealer about 56 mi away you decide merc dealers are all over the place |
