Location: Appleton | This change will go into effect for the 2013 season at the suggestion of the MWS anglers in our continuing effort to meet and provide a better series for the anglers. The entry fee will be $300 per tournament for individual tournaments. Entry forms postmarked or received Sunday through Wednesday the week prior to the tournament date will be charged an additional $75 processing fee. Entry forms postmarked or received Wednesday through Saturday the week prior to the tournament date will be charged an additional $300 processing fee. We will continue to put all the late fees collected into the payout to go to the anglers. |

| Wow, that's gonna either get the procrastinators to enter on time, or reduce the field.
Jim, have you ever compiled the results of the late entrys? Have any ever won or placed very high?

Location: Manitowoc WI | This is not a good thing. Alot of teams don't enter late due to "cherry picking" They enter late because no one wants to pre-register a week in advance and the have to fish in dangerous conditions for there rig, or personal health (back problems). I would venture to say 75% of "CHERRY PICKERS" are actually entering late to ensure the weather is ideal for there safety considerations. And so what if people wanna enter late and think they are better then everyone else. This is what competition is all about, did they ban Michael Jordan from playing basketball because he was too good?
Should be interesting to see fields of 80-100 boats reduced possibly in half. oh yah, your first place that was 4000$ will not be 2000$. and if u dont get in the top 3 you probably wont even break even on the tournament.
Interesting call, all in part to the fact of people being jeolice over skilled anglers. |

| This is a great thing!!! If you think for a second people enter late because of Weather or Safety for their rig, that is crazy talk!! I would say the amount of people entering late because of those reasons are VERY SMALL! |

Location: Badgerland | This is like how they protect the kids feelings now in sports by not keeping score. If you fish all four it's about the points not about one place payment you might get knocked down by a late entry. If your gonna protect / cater to the core fishermen who support this circuit who sign up for all events early and seem to only want to fish against each other, then drop the one event entries and put a stop to the guys who sign up one at a time as long as they are doing well in points and if they are not then they drop out. Bump up the fee by 45% (to keep payouts similar to 2012) for all four on one ticket and make it an all or nothing . |

| From a guy considering fishing one or two of these, this is an excellent rule that would make me feel better entering.
Well done.

Tha would be like work. I asked Jim. He should have the info in order to make the change. Was there any other reason to make the change?

| (This change will go into effect for the 2013 season at the suggestion of the MWS anglers ) from originai post. This was as a result of angler survey and angler input at the same time Jim did not want to completely eliminate teams from entering late |

I can see it possibly being an issue for the GB tournaments due to some folks wanting to see the winds, but I like it for the 'Bago tourneys. |

Location: Berlin | He is a walleyefisherman by day and a guy that watches sheep at night. You can pick him out of a crowd because he is always wearing a wool sweater. Only problem is he is slightly alergic so he scratches a lot. He also carries around a staff with a 3/4 loop at the end. Great guy, somewhat bad breath but still a great guy. |

| Not worth my time. I got one ahole asking me if I ever fish tournaments, when his name is no where to be found in any of those same tourneys I have fished, another that is just a total idiot and liar, and the other I thought was a friend. Key word. was.
My name is Shep. If you misspell it, it's likely intentional, then you don't deserve, and won't get, a response. |

| Shep,, relax dude. I have fished mws tournaments just maybe not the same years that you have. I don't even know your real name cause it isn't on your profile? Not sure why you had to call me an ahole, when I typed shep on my I pad spell check must have corrected me by putting Shepard in. Sorry dude, take a pill already. Thought you said it was to much work for ya to go to fish tfm and figure out boat numbers and such, but you could go look for my name? You will just have to look a few years farther back maybe!! Over and Out!! |

Location: Berlin | I was definitely NOT trying to pick on Shep here. Sorry man. Reading it now I can see how you took it that way and I am sorry. For the record, he does not wear wool sweaters, is probably not alergic to wool and has very refreshing breath. I would make out with him in a heartbeat after a 6-pack or two.
