There were huge shoves at Brothertown and there are some massive ice blocks blocking the access to any sort of vehicle but you could maneuver over/around them on foot to get on the ice. From what I could see from shore, the ice sheet actually appears to have help up well off shore other than some cracks.
No shoves at Stockbridge or CCP just some normal cracks and heaves to watch out for.
From the higher view on Hwy 55 you could see a few bigger areas, maybe an acre or 2 each, that were wide open. As these freeze over the next day or 2 they could be very deceptive and dangerous. Travel with extreme caution.

| West shore opened up. About 150 ft of open water from shore until you get to the ice down by Oshkosh. This will also be freezing and hard to see how thin it is. Be extra careful. |

Location: Neenah, WI | Please stay off the ice for now. It's nasty out there. I could see steam rising down the middle this morning and I live on the lake.Watch Don Herman from Sunk on on Fox 11 news from this morning. The man is an expert. Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location: Menasha, WI | I'm going to call it, ICE OUT.
Although I can't be sure about the east shore or south of Oshkosh, there is 99% open water as far as the eye can see from Neenah to Oshkosh. |

Location: Green Bay, WI | This isn't the greatest sat photo but it's the clearest shot we've had since April 5th!
Through the clouds you can see Bago is 40% ice yet, mostly on the east shore since the wind has been westerly the last few days.
Poygan looks to have a higher % of ice.
Hopefully I'll be able to post the pic, otherwise go here to see the 4/16/2013 Lake Michigan photo: http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.php?region=m&page=1&te...

Location: Menasha, WI | Thanks BE. I saw that image late yesterday. I saw the wide open spaces all along the west shore and hoped it was like that everywhere. Wishful thinking on my part. If we get the predict rain, it should all be gone very soon. |

Location: Green Bay, WI | I'm hoping we get one or two of those T-storms right over Poygan.
I want to get from Winneconne to the Wolf.
And based on the 10 day forecast we're not going to get a good sat photo for at least a week. |
