I have a 1968 Merc 110 twin 9.8hp. I need to know the gas/oil ratio and what octane fuel I should run. I had an older Johnson and was told to run Premium gas in it because there was no unleaded in the 50s. Im not sure if this is the same for a 68 or not. Any help would be appreciated. I run 87 octane octane in it and it seems to smoke a bit.

Jason, run 50:1 mix in this machine, and i really don't find it necessary to run any higher octane than the 87, the octane level will not make it smoke but the quality of the oil will
