Location: Lake City MN | Just got in from a great afternoon on the river(1/10). We picked up a few nice saugers and eyes early in the afternoon vertical jigging and as the day went on we put together a really good bite trolling stickbaits on 3 way rigs. By the end of the day you could hardly keep a line in the water, great time. The landing at the back channel was iced over but looked as if it would open up in a day or two. Everts landings were wide open and in great shape, thanks Steve. Good luck to all.

Location: Lake City MN | Larry, I was running a 6ft leader and a 18in. dropper and moving about 1.2 to 1.4 mph. Most of the fish were laying in about 20 to 24 ft of water next to deeper holes. As far as Texas goes I still have not made the call yet, I am thinking about makeing it an every other year trip instead of annually. You can bet your last dollar that if I don't go this year I will be kicking myself in the butt for ages, tough call.
Rick, planning on makeing the run in the next couple of weeks or so, it will be Christmas all over again. My list of things I need or should say want gets longer every day.
